MentorNET:

MentorNET is a project that was co-funded by the EU Erasmus Plus programme.

 

The project delivered a mentoring MOOC which aims to educate would-be mentors who aim to become mentors of migrants. The project also delivered a “Strategy” and roadmap detailing how to set up self-sustaining networks of mentors and it also delivered an App, the “mentorNET Cafe”, where mentors could chat and support each other. The app also provides libraries with useful resources.

The project’s objectives included :

• To research good practice concerning mentoring, the establishment of networks, developing MOOCs and e-learning
• To develop a MOOC for educating would-be mentors of migrants. It is available in English, German, Greek, Italian and Polish.
• To develop a Strategy and roadmap for establishing self-sustaining networks of mentors wishing to have migrant mentees
• To develop an APP that can be used by networks of mentors as a communication tool to provide mutual support and information exchange
• To identify mentor-focused organisations and networks across the five partner counrtries and provide them with the project outputs and tools to promote mentoring.
