MAV: Multidimensional training of adult volunteers to foster migrants’ integration
MAV is a project that has been co-funded by the EU under its “Erasmus+” programme.
MAV is a collaboration between partners in seven EU countries (Cyprus, Germany, Greece,
Italy, Romania, Turkey and the UK) and it aims to deliver a programme of online learning
to train volunteers and enable them to mentor new migrants with the objective of
helping them integrate into both the workplace and the society of their adopted
hosts.
Migration is an issue that is having an impact across Europe and many other regions
of the world. The causes are complex - war, oppression, religious intolerance and
economic well being to mention a few.
It is in all of our interests to help integrate new migrants into our societies;
the results of not doing so can lead to ghettoism, radicalisation and conflict.
